The Science of good WiFi

Cozy outdoor patio with comfortable seating and a view of the pool.

Step 1 - Create a Floor-plan

Shoot the house with a Li-DAR enabled camera to generate a floor-plan.  If you already have a good, clean floor-plan, great, advance to step 2.

Step 2 - Heatmap of Existing WiFi

Using the floor-plan, scan the entire property with an RF scan tool that generates a heat-map of the WiFi signal strength.

Step 3 - Evaluate Heatmap

The heat-map tells the story of how WiFi is performing in a space.  Use it to come up with a plan to locate WiFi Access Points throughout the house / property.  (Multiple buildings on a larger property).

Step 4 - Predictive Heatmap

Using predictive software create a Heatmap of the predicted performance of new WiFi setup.

Step 5 - New WiFi Installation

Using either Professional or Enterprise grade equipment, deploy new WiFi according to plan.

Step 6 - Measure results and adjust

After new WiFi is installed, create a Live Heatmap of how it is performing.  Adjust quantities and locations and test again.  Repeat until every spot on the property has Good WiFi.
